Great experience eating here with my family

Stale food, dried left overs in the food bins, chicken balls were way too battered, there was no won tons in the soup so it was only filled with broth. There was no dessert other than fortune cookies and tasteless "almond cookies". The decor was dated and the handicap washroom there was a Industrial mop bucket in front of the toilet and the vacuum sitting in front of the sink blocking access. They decided to remove the hot water tap so that we could not turn on the hot water to wash our hands, the toilet paper dispenser was broken and there was no dispenser for paper towel so both the toilet paper and the paper towel were sitting on top of the toilet lid. We last attended this restaurant 22 years ago we thought we would give it another try apparently it's still a disappointing restaurant to attend. On a positive note there's a lot of parking if you steal it from the restaurant next door which the food next door is actually better and cheaper at the Canton.

I did not expect much walking in.We were greeted with smile. Small buffet without a lot of choice... But what was there was fantastic! Veg were NOT overcooked, everything was very well prepared and delicious!The lone waitress was busy, but not too busy to be polite and friendly!

Best chinese restaurant in Gatineau, the food is delicious

Food is good, service is good, but the dinning rooms is awful. The bar/counter looks straight out of the 80's. Right at the entrance there is a pillar with the moldings half fallen off and nails exposed. A child could easy reach and pull one of these nails out. On that pillar is a couple of cheap printed out sheet of paper with buffet hours and prices. How much would it really cost to have a nice little sign or laminated sheet put up there instead? The carpet is old, the chairs and table are ok but could use a little re-freshening. Light fixtures could be upgraded and a little coat of paint would do wonders for the look and ambiance (the place is dark and glum).All these improvements could be done for under 12-15K. Having the restaurant in that state shows that the owners just don't care.Note that i have not seen the kitchen but I've been eating there for years and my food was always good.

Bad service, sad place and they don't know the difference between chow mein and chop suey... if you order to go check your food before leaving... Chicken sweet and sour without any chicken and the dough is not cooked... and don't call them to tell them they made an error, they won't listen to you. Never will I go there again...

Very good Chinese takeout! Nothing is ever overly greasy, the food is always fresh and hot, and it's usually ready for pickup in about 20 minutes. Has been in the area for as long as I can remember, and there's a good reason for it.

Good food, nice buffet, well priced. Parking issues though. They will spend a good portion of the night outside watching over their parking to make sure people don't park at their restaurant and eat at their competitor which is right next door (Canton) but truthfully they can't do nothing about it except trying to intimidate the Canton customers but it doesn't work.

Incomplete order and accuses me of having stolen spring rolls which was never present in my order but I had paid for it. A lot of difficulty in getting reimbursed, very slobbery employee.

I have been eating here pretty much since they opened, when I was just a kid. Is it fancy? No. Is it expensive? No. Is it haute cuisine? No. But it is satisfying, affordable, not an enormous buffet of hundreds of things you'll never touch. Their food has been consistent for decades and I still go there regularly for comfort food.

Probably the best take out Chinese food in Gatineau but the delivery times are ALWAYS over an hour. You would think being that busy they would hire help for peak hours.Update: 1.5 hour to get my order. This is why I sometimes hesitate to order from there.

The lady at the front was very nice and welcoming, so i feel bad that I have to give this place 1star, but the truth is ,the food tasted very very bad , almost everitingh tasted like left over from days prior. I was so dissapointed at the presentation, taste ,and lack of choices. For the first time in my life i went out for dinner, and left the restaurant in about 40 min.I would've left even earlier but didnt want to be rude toward the owner ( i think) , since that she was so pleasent :(

Good food but if you dont speak english good luck getting your food within reasonable time, I ordered twice and got screwed both time for ordering in English seems like, my wife placed same order in french and the food was done in 15min, it took me 1 hour each time.

Great spot for a quick lunch.

Food and service is average - The general Tao chicken/spicy beef isn't worth ordering, it's expensive and the ration of vegetables to meat is 70% if not more. So it's a vegetable dish not a meat dish.

After placing an order over the phone, I received it and 16 spring rolls were missing. I called back to say they were missing and they didn't believe me. I had to go to the store to get my refund on which $ 20 was missing if I had not counted the money returned. In addition, the owner is only English-speaking and we are in Quebec!
